During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused blackouts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were injured while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced interruptions to water supplies, as stated by municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was killed in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has demanded "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in supplying defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets targeted the country's power systems, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were striving to restore power.

A wave of strikes struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the urban area came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor lost their life and several individuals were hurt.

The assaults succeed periods of aerial attacks in the area, sections of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The entire country is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to detect.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already affecting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were bracing for additional strikes.
